Good Propagation was here today 09 01 2023, ZS1COR played again and picked up the propagation was really good on 2m.
Once again ZS1COR tested with Olie near Uniondale from George but still could not reach him for an QSO contact on 144.300 SSB.
Tested on 144.300 SSB, nope, tested the 145.650 repeater but also no communication, still the hunt is on for the QSO from George.
Tested with Nico ZS1ZAN from the Karoo area and he could trigger the Rdal repeater nicely and we had our QSO. Coming into George with 10 watt the tail came back 60plus DB into ZS1COR's shack.
ZS1COR going out on 5 watt towards the RDAL repeater on FM.
So, time passed and Henry ZS1SB from SBAY tested on simplex 145.500 on FM towards George, with his antenna only about 2m from the ground we had our QSO on simplex 2m 145.550 from George to SBAY, not too shabby Henry and well done!
Henry is also busy with his yagi 2 m antenna and when done we shall test towards George again, cannot wait!
